Women in Theater
CTWN is a 501 (c)(3) organization founded in 2025 that supports, develops, and advocates for women in professional theater statewide.

Promotes equity for and support of work by women in theater

Provides networking resources, mentorship and education and professional development opportunities for women in theater

Presents, produces and sponsors events and festivals focused on women in theater

Monthly lunches and other gatherings where you can meet Theater Women from all over Connecticut. We plan our gatherings in locations around the state to ensure one will be nearby you.

Monthly e-newsletter sent the second Wednesday of each month with news about our members and information about other event and opportunities related to women working in theater.
Membership
CTWN Membership provides exclusive benefits such as:

Free entry to most Network events.

Free and discounted tickets to shows around Connecticut.

Publicity and focused efforts to fill seats for shows/events in which our members are involved.

Eligibility to submit to the Biennial Women Playwrights Festival.

Upcoming Events
Wednesday, May 27 -- Join The CT Theater Women Network for a meet and greet with the actresses from Theaterworks' Circus Fire after the matinee performance at the historic First Company Governor's Foot Guard (159 High St., Hartford), where the show is being performed. You do not need to see either show that day to join us for some refreshments, a chance to meet with the actresses and get a tour the building. It's free, and non-Members may attend, but slots are limited. RSVP is required to CTTheaterWomenNetwork@gmail.com. Tickets with a special discount are available for CTWN Members for the run of the show through May 31.
Friday, May 29 -- Join CTWN Members for lunch before a special matinee of Dear Evan Hansen at A.C.T. of Connecticut in Ridgefield. If you are joining for lunch, contact CTWN Co-Founder Mary Miko at maryatcttwn@gmail.com for details (make sure you aren't sending to her old Goodspeed email). You do not need to be a member of CTWN to join for lunch, but an RSVP is required. CT Theater Women's Network members can receive $79 tickets and a complimentary beverage for the 2 pm performance. There will be a community talkback after the performance.
